Title: Summer Trail Maintenace
Post by: Paul Hittie on June 03, 2007, 10:32:53 PM
As you probably know already, we need to head back up to Mio for an afternoon to tackle 2 problem areas - brushing the first few miles of the trail leading out from the Muskrat Lake campground, and reclaiming the 1.5 miles on the east side of the route that Mother Nature has taken over.  June 23-24 is our club trip to Silver Lake, so I left it out.  July 14-15 is the GLFWDA summer quarterly meeting (also in Silver lake), and the following weekend is our big summer event so I left it out as well.  If we can't settle a date before the end of July, we might as well roll it into our required August trip and make it a two-day affair.

I'm not going to commit to a date as of yet.  I should hopefully have my promotion by then and my schedule will totally change.

Are we going up Saturday, Sunday, both, weekend...?

Saturday works better for me than Sunday, but either way I would prefer a one-day slam dunk.

Executive Decision - Saturday wins, one day only.

How early are we leaving, and how few vehicles can we take to save $$?

I am game for anytime.  I am a morning person so early would be good for me.  Are we going to bring the same tools that we took the last time?  I know I will try and put my blade on my weed whacker. That should help with the weeds and small stemmed vegataion.  Any list of who is going?

John and I are making calls tonight to firm things up - 8 am departure, might as well meet someplace on the north end....Alice's?  Chris?  No sense in driving south to go north.

i talked to chris tonight...his truck can hold 5 and it'd be cheaper on petrol...it can be non smoking if we wanted to go up in one..and we'd have the truck for the maint....
either way, if we want to go up in one we can, if we want to go up in 2 we can do that too....
we can figure it out in the am...see you at 8 (harley's place)....

Alice, Chris lives on Richfield road east of M-15 like 2 or 3 houses east of oak rd.

I'm sure Chris can correct it if i was wrong about oak rd.
