Scheduled maintenance

OK Deb bought new tires, my job is to get the Jeep ready.  Daystar 1" BL/Daystar 1" MML.  Tires will be in on Friday, so I need to tackle this over the weekend to get everything ready for Silver Lake 7-13.  I'll keep a steady supply of food and beverages during the day, stop by if you can.  

Other than running over to Harley's for his nifty little hydraulic wedge jacks, I think I have everything I need unless you know something I don't.

Don't be in a hurry for monster tires.  I have wheeled a set of smallish 31 ATs for over three years and I've conquered everything I found in MI except mud with that setup.  Here is Paul's alternative 3:

good 31" MT tires
complete set of recovery gear, including winch
better skid plates - steering gear, front diff, oil pan
Good aftermarket bumpers with solid recovery points

Same or less money than you were going to spend, all the stuff you will need/want eventually, and still have a pretty capable rig until you hit the lottery.

John and I are making calls tonight to firm things up - 8 am departure, might as well meet someplace on the north end....Alice's?  Chris?  No sense in driving south to go north.

Executive Decision - Saturday wins, one day only.

How early are we leaving, and how few vehicles can we take to save $$?

We are heading back July 12-15 for the GLFWDA quarterly meeting.  Sunday is the meeting, Saturday is scheduled for trail riding in the National Forest, so we are heading up a day or two early for some more sand time.
