well it finally happened

the yj's dana 35 snapped pulling out of the driveway today
so i will be installing the 8.8 possibly this weekend i will have to keep it in 2wd till i get the 4.10 gears for it from DTS

ok neil said i should see what broke so i will inspect it tomorrow and get pic's if i can i wasnt going to even open the diff cover was going to just cut it out and scrap it

just curious is all. I think is was the pinion shaft that snaped.

that would be pretty bad the pinion shaft is like 1 5/8's solid steel

It's that or the ring gear. I say the pinion since it is free spinning.

well the spider gears were in lots of tiny little chunks the ring and pinion are still in great shape
