Hey, thanks, I kinda think it is a nice jeep.  Tried to convince my better half to let me buy a hauler that can carry 3 vehicles.  She just wouldn't sign up for that.

My old girl is for sale.  She is a 1967 ground up restoration CJ-5.  Powered by a total rebuilt Dauntless V-6, 3 speed stick , Fiberglass tub, hood and fenders (11000 miles on rebuild).  And Custom instrument panel.  

To qualify, you must have good upper body strength and a strong left leg.  Asking $6500 or best offer!I have kind of neglected her; took her out and I didnt clean all the mud off her.......Old girl needs some attention.  Besides that , my wife says I can't keep all my toys if I want to be a full time unemployeed vagabond.  Anyway she needs to go before we sell our house and move.   Almost everthing I own is for sale.

I only wish that recognition would and should also go to all the folks in the club who worked so hard to make this event come off including the wives and husbands who allow us to play with our toys.

Hey, would someone update me on what was covered at Sundays meeting.  I had to go to my 4 year old grandsons 5:30 birthday Sunday, so I missed the club meeting.   Please send a PM just in case I need to start doing something with flyers to promote  the Jeep club show.  Has a firm date been picked? I need clues as to what is expected and should be on the flyers.

And by the way, I'm headed up to Silver Lake and the dunes next week, Wedesday through Saturday With a bunch of Old farts whos minds tell them that they are 30 something and their bodies know that they are more than double that number.  Got to practice so I dont  get stuck in the sand with all you young guns.   ::ouch::

Me thinks the wife and I will go for the day; then I can say I've been blessed.   :roll:

Just need to know what time to arrive.  Gotta figure in potty stops and places to eat so that I can arrive on time.  These golden years aint as golden as you think.

::Jeep:: Just returned to the "Cold Country" Michigan.----wife told me I had to come home from where it was nice and warm.  Any way what has everybody been upto?  I'm anxious to talk "Jeep Stuff"and see what I've been missing.  

Just a comment; lots of nice Jeeps in South Carolina, but from what I saw you really have to like swamps, copperheads and  mudding.

Michigan is only flat in the eastern thumb and around toledo.  You haven't seen the low country down south; pine trees, swamp, and houses without basements  they also have a lot of trailers and they are still recovering from hurricane Hugo on the east coast.  Not near as pretty as Michigan.  And lastly "ville" is pronounced "vull" and if you don't say that they know your from the north.   ::gay::

Welcome to the low country, been ugly all day.....rain,rain, rain; here in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I know as I got older I didn't care much for cold, but now that I have been down here for a couple months, I sure miss those little rolling hills of Michigan.  The sun and beaches are great but the rest is swamp sand and copperheads;and with the rain you get muck.  At least in Michigan you can power wash and start over.  Actually, it seems like they have a never ending ugly "Fall" . Some trees have leaves and some don't.  I guess everytime I've went off I've just keep ending up in some swamp.  Just not my kind of 4 wheeling. ::ouch::  ::ouch::  ::ouch::

Good luck with your move; I'll think about you when I'm back in God's Country.  At least I'm sure the weather is going to change and I don't have to deal with copperheads. ::Jeep::

it is 64 and sunny, with a low of 46 tonight; no rain expected until maybe next week....................lol

Today is supposed to be the day when we all get the first snowfall that sticks, about 2 to 4 inches around Flint.  If I was still working I would be the first one to show up at work.  I used to save my snow days for when the temperature would go above 65 degrees; then take my snowday; hated to see my own breath.

  ("If I was still working"),I would still be here in Michigan, but I'm a wuss; the wife and I decided to take a few snow days in South Carolina, starting now!.  

Just wanted to say thanks to all the people I've met in this club and for allowing me to join.   It is nice to see folks who have a genuine interest in 4 wheeling and family.  So my threat or promise is that I hope to see you all at the first meeting in March of 2008.   :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:
