Get those registrations in fast. we had 20 registered just from word of mouth. Come on out for the show and get entered for some nice prizes from our sponsors.
All entries get entered for free into the door prizes which are all offroad related.

I was under the impression it was this saturday (LongArm corrected me today). I'm scheduled to work but I'm going to try my very very very best to make it there. Hopefully I can. I would like to see what ever members that are gonna put there jeep in the show get the entries in so we don't lose any spots. I got 7 entries today in the mail. Plus mine, so 8 spots are now gone.
Maybe who ever is gonna enter can drop the form and $10.00 off when we pick up the Flyers. I hope everyone is gonna enter. if so then that will be 21 plus spots taken up, so almost half.
We should have the flyers today so i can meet people during the day this week to get them out there to you guys, or you can call Alice to do it in the evening time.
I will be sending out PM's to everyone with what they said they can do for the event. Probally tonight or tomorrow.

I picked up the flyers today. I also ran some black and white copies just for us to fill out the registration forms instead of using the color ones. Neil will have half and I will have half. I work at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. You can pick them up there or make some arrangements with Neil or myself for other pickup or delivery options.
Hmm.. couple things.
Neil, theres a possibility we wont be able to use my canopy. My mom evidently loaned it to my aunt that weekend. But there was like 3 or 4 other people with canopy's so that shouldnt be an issue. I should have given you money for my spot while I was at your house today.. Didnt even think about it.
Also, theres a possibility I could hand out some flyers while on deliveries (I deliver pizza's for papa johns, which I'm sure most of you have heard by now.. think I mentioned that at the meeting too).. I dont know if that would be beneficial or not, but I have a few people I deliver to frequently that have jeeps/4x4's and comment on my jeep when I deliver to them.
Also, Neil as I mentioned earlier, I'd like to help out any way I can. If you have a job that needs to be done that you think I might be able to do, let me know.

what is the plan for the flyers? Me and the kids can pick some up tomorrow afternoon and then distribute them to many of the Davison places as well as drop some off at the Mounds if that would be appropriate. Not sure if you guys contacted anyone at Genesee County Parks but Chris can contact one of the main chicks there (can't think of her name off hand, aren't I just so helpful?) to see if they would be willing to have them at the Mounds, etc. They may even be willing to donate a few season or day passes for door prizes.
Make sure that you get Camouflage Mechanical to donate a few percent off coupons or something. I'm in pretty well with the owner and should be able to hook you up with a few give aways :P
Anyway, not sure what help I can be, but we can do what you need. If necessary, maybe we can use the RV as a check in place if you can't get a canopy? It has an awning that would probably provide enough shade. (Chris is probably soooooooooooo happy that I'm volunteering this stuff, but you gotta do what you gotta do to make this successful!)
Also, how about any free advertising? Any chance that local TV or radio shows would be willing to promote this? I think Channel 12 has some local event promotion that is free on their morning show. I"ll see what I can scrounge up on the web tonite.

Yea, I think someone might have mentioned this at the meeting, but theres a "local events" insert that is always included with the Flint Journal. They usually have some of the lame things like plays and musicals, so it would be nice for people to actually see something cool in there -- haha!

Well... my Mom's not a cruel person to make my car out to bribe me with the title still being in her custody. Not saying that yours is cruel, but I don't know her, so I don't... know. Just talked to the Flint Journal. The show will be put in the paper for this weekend in the whats happening this week section.
It may end up being in 2 sections, since this is the type of event that falls into 2 of there catagories. :D

good! I was just going to get some info and email the guy that does the "Entertainer" thingee in the Journal but was worried they wouldn't use it as they want "10 days prior to the event" for publishing. I hope the weather is better than today even though we need the rain. I'd like to see a sunny day in the mid 70's.
