Title: axle fun

anyone know how to change gears in an axle i am sure i can do everything except not so sure on the backlash ans spacing stuff.  any help would be great.

ive read up on it abit, still not ready to try it myself though. you need some new tools as well. here's acouple links ive been looking through

suposedly randy's ring and pinion has a good book and it, but i cant find it anywhere, hope this helps

Done it a few times. Not bad with the right tools. Need a dial indicator, magnetic base for dial indicator, maybe a decent set of calipers (for measuring shims), and a BOATLOAD of patience. Unless you get very lucky, you will probably install and remove about a dozen times til you get it right. Any questions, shoot me a pm.
