Yea, the weather sucked for top down. 40 degrees, pouring down rain and 40MPH gusts kind of put the damper on top down for a lot of people. My leather bag full of club brochures blew out of the Jeep while it was parked so the wind was a bit much.

I have the club info sheets that I got at the last meeting. I will be there about 10AM to get everything ready. Setup shouldn't be too bad. Mitch has the bounce house but if the wind is strong we aren't going to be able to set it up.

Edit: If anyone is not going to make the event but is coming to the party after and needs directions call me. My number is in the member contact info.

I didn't see any other member there while I was at work unless someone slipped in under the radar. My LJ is usually parked in one of the end spots toward the back of the lot.

Confirmed with Janine we are free. After party/bonfire at our house. Byob, chair and a side dish. We will supply the hot dogs.

After re-reading are we doing a picnic at the wash or doing food after? If we are doing food at the wash then if people want to bring chips and snacks then that is cool. If we are doing food here if everyone wants to bring a dish to pass that works too. Either way we will have dogs here.

I will have to check with janine to make sure there are no other plans but we might be able to move the after party to our house. We live close to there.

The creepy uncle of the group looks forward to meeting you too

Hittie - Speaking of parts if you know someone that is interested in an LJ hitch I have one that I am not using that I am sure you are familiar with.  :D

We may fight like family sometimes (ask Adam, we have been picking at each other for 20 or 21 years now  ::poke:: ) but when it comes down to it we have each others backs and that is what really matters.

The Lounge / Looking back over the last year
March 30, 2010, 06:38:09 PM
April will mark my 1 year anniversary since I joined our little group here. It seems like it has been a lot longer than that. Looking back over the last year a lot has happened and I have made a lot of friends here. I want to say thanks to everyone for making the new guy feel welcome that first day.

A few things stand out over the last year.

Neil has always been there to help out and continues to be whenever something needs to be cut, welded, torched, built or destroyed.

Mitch has become another family member around our house

Matt is there at the drop of a hat to pitch in whenever he is needed to help lift heavy things.

Cody is always volunteering to help for any project we dream up

Hittie almost always has any part you are looking for and is quick to make it available

If it wasn't for Doug sending me a message on offroad jeepers I wouldn't have known WLB existed.

Ed is always the calm in the storm (generally a storm we have created) and is the one that offsets the chaos of the rest of us.

Prentiss always reminds me that I am on HIS turf when I see him in Lapeer

Chris (Herezja) is always good for a wheeling story

Derrick is always fun and usually has a good stuck story

To those above and all of you I say thank you for the last year and I look forward to many more. We're not so much a club in my eyes as one big Jeep loving dysfuntional family. Is there really a better family to belong to?

Quote from: "Nosilla"Now that i know. I will have to ship you some. The shipping will only be 13.99 for pony express to deliver.

  Do I get them cheaper for picking them up on site?

They wanted $15 to ship my 3rd brake light. Quadratec did it for $4.99 and it was the same price for the light. I have no idea why Rock Hard is so high on their shipping prices. Neil said he could whip up a set so I am going to check with him first.
