Introductions / Re: I finally got another one.

I don't see anything on there web page about this.  Saturday, November 25th is Turkey Trot.

OK I get it.

The Charity Track & Toy Drive is on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Donate a non-perishable food item or a new, unwrapped toy and take a lap around the track in your own vehicle. The event helps the Brooklyn Food Bank, Toys for Tots and MIS Cares. Photos with Santa for $10 available.  Refreshments provided by Americrown and MIS Cares will be available. Weather permitting, no motorcycles.

See you all at MIS about 9 a.m. then.

If you have the name and model number, look for instructions on the web.  Are you starting from scratch or do you already have a fireplace?  Chimneys can be vary expensive.

Tech Talk / Re: Broken Shock Mount- Need help!
September 07, 2017, 08:37:01 PM
Just take the shock off and you can drive it to get repaired, just take it ez.  Isn't there a supposed to be a bolt going through the old original shock bracket and going through the new bracket to hold it on?  I have the same shock bracket on mine.  Just take the small bolt out of the stock bracket,  put the large bolt in that holds the two together, it is the same size bolt as the lower shock bolt, then put the small bolt in with a larger washer under it to hold the where it came apart.  Now tighten both bolts.  Check the other side to make sure you have the large bolt in!  Looks like the large bolt was never put in.

It could be the water pump, but the impeller would have to be worn a lot, or broken.

Did you put a NEW fan clutch on it.  That is what it sounds like to me.  Could be a loose fan belt. My truck has a fan clutch that is turned on electrically with a temp switch.  It that how it works on your Jeep?  If so check the wires.

Tech Talk / Re: Loose steering
June 25, 2017, 08:17:34 AM
First make sure it is not loose on the frame.  There should be a nut with an allen screw in it on your steering box, usually on the top.  Loosen the nut and tighten the allen screw.  Do not over tighten, it can make your steering to hard to turn.   Turn it in about one half turn at a time and try it.  If it get where it is good in the center but too tight when you turn the wheel a ways, then the gears are worn inside.  There is also a nut on the input of the box that may be loose.

I am serious, I have done several on different vehicles.  We can get it done in 2 or 3 hours.  We could do it tomorrow, Sat or set a time.

I am not going now.  With all the rain and flooding it will be a big mess.  Don't want to walk around in water all day.
