I didn't want to call him today, just so they have some family time though this.  I will buzz him tomorrow, and see how things are going.

(I'm sure he will post up as soon as he can anyway)

Hey everyone!

We get terrible cell coverage in the room, so sorry if I missed your calls.  Surgery went as planned Wednesday, Thursday we got moved to a regular room.  So far so good - everything is going according to the expectation of his doctors, although he still has some discharge from the chest tube, and the volume this morning is probably going to be high enough to keep him here an extra day (Monday).  His BP is still high, but they are being very cautious about increasing his BP meds, they would prefer to sneak up on a happy dose.  They overshot Wednesday morning, we had a bit of a scare as his BP bottomed out at 60/30, but the folks here are great - very professional, very nice too.  We have had a couple of nice suprises - Dr Dave from the kidney clinic has continued to follow Jonathon's care even after the case was handed off to the congenital heart unit, and he stopped in this morning to say hello.  Jonathon was craving Pizza and cookie dough ice cream as soon as they started talking about real food Thursday, so Uncle Todd snuck in some Ben & Jerry's last night.  And today, his cousins from Kalamazoo are here for a visit.
