Is there a caravan planned? Where and time?  I know there was talk of one at the meeting but can't recall for which event.

fter much consideration, the wife and I have decided to cancel our reservation to Drummond Island.  We will however will be looking to go to the Rocks and Valleys Easter Egg Hunt. 

   She's looking at places to stay (Soaring Eagle maybe because of the waterpark) and we should know by mid week.

My current mirror still works, only the plastic housing broke while we're at the mounds before the last meeting.   It's a bit annoying to hear it flap around while doing 70 down the expressway but if you want to sell me your other spare then let me know when you find it. I think I will order some tj mirror off eBay if and when I find out for sure that they will work in the relocation brackets.

I looked online  and found mixed results from people fitting a tj mirror into a jk relocation bracket.  I'm just wondering if anyone else has attempted this. As many know, when using a relocation bracket on the passenger side the point of having a mirror there becomes mute. The driver can't see the mirror when it's time to keep the doors on. 

   If anyone has a spare tj mirror complete with the extended arm that I can borrow to try to install please let me know. 

My new lower control arms came in and I'd like to install them but my garage is pretty full.  I also could use a lift. Anyone want to make a morning out of a little bit of wrenching?  I'll supply foods and maybe a good dark ale or 2

I have Rubicon/Moab 16" rims on it already so shopping for a 16" tire.  I think I am going to go the cheap/immediate fix route and head to Sam's Club.  Their new Kanati Mud Hogs seem to have decent reviews in some of the mags, and they all emphasize the street-ability of these tires for an MT.  And I think for now I am going to stick to a 33" (285/75/R16) tire, if I jump to 35's I will be unable to get my camper around efficiently without re-gearing, and I need to address some armor plating and mechanical upgrades first.  Besides, skinny 33" ATs have worked up until now, won't kill me to delay the leap into a 35" tire.

Go on Craigslist and by some cheap 33's. For instance, I'm selling my Mickey Thompson 305x65x17 for $200. Too bad you don't have a 17 inch wheel. They're good enough until the next snowfall.
