Jeep Talk / OMG!!! Attention All XJ Owners OMG!!!
July 16, 2008, 08:39:50 AM
Sorry for all the excitment, but Hell just froze over this morning. After 5 years of excuses from Aussie, the finally have a locker for the 8.25 29 spline. The locker is in testing right now and they have it listed on there site. Bad thing is that it cost $300, which is a bit of a dissappointment compared to the cost of their other lockers. It is still cheaper to pick up an Ford 8.8 with a limited slip and any gear ratio you want for around $200 to $300.

Wanted / Portable Air Compressor
June 25, 2008, 07:00:01 PM
Does anyone have a portable air compressor that I could borrow for a day. My pos compressor is about 25 years old and only goes up to 70 psi. I have a couple really stubbron bolts I need to get out and mine will not do the job.

Thanks

Pictures and Videos / St Helen Run Pictures
April 20, 2008, 11:03:33 AM
Here is a link to some pictures from my St Helen run. Sorry that no one could make it up, we had a lot of fun. Meet some new people from the different forums and also a few of use stopped by Grandmans place to run the course. I was amazing surpised on how well my street tires (33" General Grabbers) performed in the sand and on the concret. Made it through the course with very little trouble.

April 18, 2008, 07:18:08 PM
I made one of these many years ago in my old club and it came in handy when we went out on our trail runs. This shows you how to make a portable picnic table out of one sheet of plywood.

Tech Talk / Project Cheep Cheorkee
April 13, 2008, 12:25:27 PM
Trucks on Spike TV just started their Cheep Cherokee build up. Looks like some interesting and cheep build up ideas. They will also be installing a Ford 8.8 onto it. Something I will be looking forward to watching. For those of us building up an XJ, might be something to pay attention too.

Already found out by using D30 axle shafts out of a D30 with ABS is an upgrade to a D30 axle shafts without ABS. It appears that the D30 ABS axle shafts are slightly bigger in diameter then non ABS axle shafts.

The Lounge / City Tax Form?
January 25, 2008, 09:58:02 PM
Looks like that since I moved in to the city of Flint I have to pay city taxes, which I have never had to do before. I am using Turbo Tax and trying to fill out the CF-1040 form for Flint City Tax and it wants me to fill in the following information:

Form CF-1040 (Flint) -- Schedule of Wages: Last date of employment during the current tax year for employer-1 must be entered.

Form CF-1040 (Flint) -- Schedule of Wages: First date of employment during the current tax year for employer-1 must be entered.

What exactly is it trying to ask me to do? To me it is asking when my last day of employement was, but I am not unemployeed and my first date of employment this year. Confused..lol.

Thanks for any assitance

Wanted / Need an alternator
November 11, 2007, 02:14:40 PM
If anyone has any leads on a used alternator what would work in my 99XJ I would appreciate it. Auto parts stores want $150 to $250 for one.

Go figure that it gets a little wet it shorts out. Another great idea of Jeep to put them at the bottom of the engine, instead of where the AC unit is.
