I live in Fenton and MIGHT be able to help you.  What Jeep do you have?  Like Russ asked, is the winch already mounted and since it's an old winch, are you sure you have all the parts?

Hi Bob, Welcome.  Ed isn't as bad as it sounds though he does like to take his Jeep for a swim time to time.
Welcome to the club and to Michigan, though after the upcoming winter I'm not sure you'll be here in June.

Tech Talk / Re: Master power switch for winch?
May 04, 2016, 09:13:07 PM
I have thought of that for sure.  I really want like a 700 amp relay that I can just flip a switch on the dash and provide power to the winch or cut the power.  I guess if I can't find anything I'll go the route of the battery disconnect.  Anything is better than just leaving un-switched, high amperage power going to the winch.  I can't imagine how dangerous it could be in a collision.

Hi Matt,
Nice to meet you.  I'm Alan and my wife Michelle.  We were at the table next to you with the two young children.  Nice to meet you and hopefully be wheeling with you soon.

Nice pics.  Thanks for taking them.  Sorry about your locker.  Good thing I didn't "yank you" off those logs or I would have felt bad thinking I broke the locker. :P

You can still do the blessing at Silver Lake Sand Dunes in June.

I talked to Sandi this morning.  They will put us together if you call and reference what lies beyond jeep club.  813-355-3472 is the number to call.  We're for sure going.

So this is what I've found out from the campground:

As mentioned by Ed, this is the Hideaway Campground.  For reservations or deposits call 813-355-3472

Electric/water pull through sites will be 35.00
  Electric/water sites will be 30.00
electric only sites will be 28.00
non electric sites will be 25.00

These prices are with a 5.00 off per night for the jeep invasion. also
if you stay at the campground we will be having a band Friday night and
a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning.

We are going to go.  Is anyone else going?

This event looks really fun to me.  I like the blessing and festival mixed with some silver lake sand dunes idea.   It seems like it might fit in a lull of activity too.  I don't know what we were planning for sure for the end of May or beginning of June.  The Mesick Jeep blessing is a month before this.

Bill has expressed interest in going.  The Hideaway campground and resort is a sponsor so i have an email into them to find out the details for camping.  Anyone interested?
