we are looking at wj's and i kinda would like one with a 4.7 v8 but i dont have any idea how many miles these engines will run for we have had such good results with the 4.0 260,000 on the zj     i would love to get that reliability again

I would imagine it is a pretty durable engine.  They have been running it in the Durango's and Ram's for wuite a while.  I don't know if they are the exact same version as in the Jeeps but the dependability and longevity of the 4.7 in those vehicles has been very good.  Even with the hype of the Hemi, the 4.7 is the go to engine on those products.

i beleive thats what was in my buddies wk and it was a peice, i'd say go for the 4.0. wj's are really cool out of the box wheelers though, they're tri-linked out back and have nice high steering up front
