So today, I get home around 11:30pm and my parents are still awake, this is unusual. I ask them whats up and they proceeded to tell me what happened today. Aparently earlier, they noticed a bunch of cops all over the neighborhood. They watched the cops go back and forth down our street. Then, my dad sees a cop escorting a guy in handcuffs down the street, no big deal, whatever it was is over, right? Well like 5 minutes later they got a knock on the door. The cop then informed them that the suspect stole a car, ditched it in our neighborhood, and fled on foot into our neighborhood. Well, he then tells my parents that when they found the guy, he was in OUR GARAGE with the door closed, sitting on my dirt bike (1985 YZ250, kinda broken) with a wrench in his hand. They found his gun 2 houses down. Kinda makes me wounder what would of happened if I would of been working on my jeep or something...
wow thats scary
Time to start locking stuff up...I'd have like 10 dead bolts and stuff. Invest in a home defense shot gun. ;)
either that or come over here in the boonies and work on it
Yea.. You forgot to post the kicker!
The police also told them that they hadnt found the drugs the guy had, and that it might be stashed somewhere in their garage and if they find it to notify the police.
I would be worried as hell that the guy is gonna try to come back for the drugs.

If they were worried about it, they would have had a dog go around your garage. Cody, #1 is that I'm glad that you and your family are safe. If I were you I would properly learn how to handle and shoot a firearm, then purchase one. After that, if this situation repeats itself and you feel that your life is threatened, well, you were only defending yourself right? As for me, I'm armed pretty much 100% of the time including in my garage. I have the duty to see the worst side of humanity. I don't take any chances.
glad to know y'all are alright, some scary stuff there. i'd take longarms advice there.
yeah its time to lock and load!
