Once again this year the American Legion Post in Milford is looking for Jeeps to volunteer to take part in their annual Memorial Day Parade.  You would be volunteering to drive the parade route with a veteran or veterans that are unable to walk the parade route due to their age or disability.  A bunch of us from WLB particpated last year and it was a very moving and rewarding experience.  If you are interested in helping out, show up Monday morning at the American legion hall at 9:30am.

A few of us from WLB will be heading down to the Badlands ORV park in Attica Indiana in Mid June.  We may plan a local day trip for those not able to make the hike.  As always, if you are interested in more information, ghit the "contact us" button from the main page.

Once again our Spring Trail Maintenance Trip coincides with International Go Topless day.  We will be working on the trails in Atlanta, MI Saturday May 16th and then heading back to camp at Montmorency County Fairgrounds to fire up the grills, have a few beverages, and celebrate the sense of fun and adventure that comes with owning a Jeep!

My River Raider Snorkel is on the way! Set for delivery tomorrow (of course I won't be there to see it). I have studied the instructions and I need a 3" and a 3 1/4" hole saw.  Anybody have those sizes I can use? Hate to buy them for a one time job if they are already floating around...

Always a lot to do in May! 

A bunch of us will be heading up for the Cadillac Jeepers' Jeep Blessing on Saturday May 2nd.  Look for us in the orange WLB shirts and feel free to ask us about the club!

We will be completing our Spring Trail Maintenance trip the weekend of May 16-17th in Atlanta, MI.  This is a "trail ride" that is actually a work day clearing fallen trees, cutting back brush etc. but we do our "Go Topless Day" Picnic back at camp Saturday night to reward all our hard work.  PM me for details if you'd like to come... you can even skip the work part and just come for the cookout!

Finally, several of us have committed to participate again in the Milford Memorial Day Parade where we volunteered last year to drive veterans that could not walk the parade route.  This was a very special event last year and I'm really looking forward to being there again.

In April, several of us are teaming up with the Crew from Michigan Wheelers as they make their Annual Drummond Island Invasion - A sort of unofficial "Spring Opener" if you will...  Last weekend in April, detail available at michiganwheelers.com

Looks like I neglected to post this up earlier, so its probably a little late for anyone to join, but 5 rigs from WLB will be making the trip to Windrock Park in Tennessee in March.  Drive down Thursday the 19th, Wheel friday & Saturday, Drive home Sunday the 22nd.  If you are interested in Joining, shoot me a PM.

Saw a post over on GL4x4 about going to this park in OH, which I had never heard of, so I decided to look it up... It turns out to be between Akron & Youngstown - about 4.5 hour drive from my house... 1500 Acre park, looks like there's some good rocks by some of the pictures... might be worth a trip sometime. Especially if you have business coming or going to PA - like Paul's proposed trip this summer.  Or, this could be combined with a Cleveland Trip for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, House of Blues Gospel Brunch, Indians game, etc.  I'd be game if anyone else is interested.

One of the Gentleman that works at my office is listing this and asked if i would put it up here for him...  I guess his Daughter and has been driving this mainly up to the UP and back for college, sounds like it is in really good shape and knowing this guy, I would say he has kept it 100% maintained.  Less than 70K miles on an 06 with the straight 6...

WLB is hosting our Big event January 9-10 in Grayling, MI.  The event is full so if you haven't registered, you won't be able to Join us for that run. 

We will continue our traditional "Last Sunday in February" run this year heading to the West Branch/St. Helen trails for another fun and challenging day in the snow.  Guests are welcome.  Contact me via PM for details!

Last year I made up the Calendars Featuring a Different WLB rig for each month and a lot of you liked them and asked for them.  So, I can do new calendars for 2015 if you are interested in them... Please bring $15.00 to the meeting Sunday if you want one.  To make sure your calendar features your rig bring a digital copy of your favorite photo or e-mail it to me. I will try to get them made in December and bring them to the January meeting.   

Gearing up for our January "Operation: Snowbound" event, we will be making one last trip up to Grayling on Saturday December 13th to finalize routes so we will be all set for January.

We will also be heading over to Play at Rocks & Valleys in Harriosn on Sunday the 14th. 

Some of us will be making one or the other as a day trip, some are making a weekend of it and doing both.  Guests are welcome as long as you have front snd rear tow points.  Complete details are on the members only forums but if you are interested in attending either trip as a guest, shoot me a pm and I will keep you in the loop.

The WLB crew will be heading to Grayling this year for our fall color tour the second Weekend of the month - October 10th-12th.  Most of us will be camping at one of the state parks in the area.  We have found some amazing overlooks as we have explored the area over the last couple months, and I have to say if we happen to hit peak color we are going to have some unbelievable scenery along the way! 

Later in the month, a bunch of us will be attending the Jeep Creep in Gladwin.  See their post on our page for details, but it has been a fun event the last couple of years.

Can't believe it's already time for our annual end-of-summer Picnic... We've had a great summer of wheeling trips at Rocks & Valleys, the Mounds, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Evart, and Grayling... wow! that is a jam-packed summer!  More fun planned this fall starting with the aforementioned picnic which we combine with our meeting for September on the 6th.  Since this is at a members house, it will not be open to the public but if you have been to a meeting or two with us and would like to come hang out, shoot me a message and I can get you details.

Also in September: Another day of two-tracking up in Grayling, MI.  We found sound great trails last time and we're going to try to nail down some routes for an upcoming event.  If interested in joining us for the day, and you have tow points front & rear on your Jeep, send me a PM for more details on our plan for the day...
