Wanted / Re: stock TJ softtop header
December 01, 2010, 05:58:26 PM
Quote from: "Addsmack"I'm looking for the header piece to a soft top.  I'm not sure of the exact name, but it's the part that the top screws into, that clips to the windshield.

I somehow managed to destroy mine.  (Long story)

-Adam

I may have one. Will have to go through my shed of extras and check.

Introductions / Re: New guy here...

Quote from: "Addsmack"Hi all,

My name is Adam and I drive a Jeep  ::woot::

I was told about this site by some guy named Cody.  I guess he is the President around here  ;)

If this place is anything like he mentioned, I'm glad I joined the forum.  Anyone who will stand in the freezing cold and help me install a hardtop seems like a good guy.

Anyways, I live in Lincoln Park, MI (south of Detroit).  I'm originally from Saginaw, MI.  I'm up in the Saginaw area a lot.  I currently own a very much rust free 98 TJ wrangler sport.

Anyways, maybe I can meet some new Jeepers.

-Adam

Saginaw, huh?? My wife and I have a lot of family up there...she is originally from there and we still have a house up there too. We are up there quite a bit as well. We just moved from Saginaw to a little north of Detroit (Richmond) about a year ago. We'll have to coordinate for some beers in Saginaw or if you want to attempt a car pool of some sort to the meetings in Davidson...just let me know!

Welcome!!   ::woot::

P.S. I have a nice 3 bedroom Saginaw vacation home with a scenic overlook of Grand Central. If your intersted I'll cut you the deal of a lifetime!!  :D

Quote from: "Nosilla"Take some pictures and i will see what is going on.

I don't need any parts right now, unless you have a rear drive shaft for a sye kit.

Posted up some pics in a new topic: //whatliesbeyond.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1896

Since I high-jacked RallyKid's posting, I thought I would post the pics of my broken bumper in a new topic....here you go Neil (and anyone else who cares):

Here's the unbroken side:

And then a series of the broken part:

Funny you should say that....I actually happen to have a rear SYE draftshaft sitting around. Don't know if it will work for you as it is the stock driveshaft from my Rubicon, but it does work with the SYE kit that was installed from the factory and probably aftermarket SYE's as well (never really looked into it).

Quote from: "Nosilla"thanks Cody.

Actually, since you are a welder extrordinaire....would you mind taking a look at mine and see if you can fix it? It seems to have split along the welded seems. I can snap a pic or two this evening when I get home. It will probably need to be heated up and finessed back into place then welded along the side and bottom seams.

Or.....I have a boat load of spare parts hanging around. If you are looking for something, do you think we could work out a trade of some sort??

Quote from: "Nosilla"200.00 and you can buy my front bumper Chris.

Oh yeah? Does it have a winch mount with it? Have a pic of it?

Thanks!
