The Lounge / Wood stove insert help
November 01, 2017, 05:34:50 PM
Hello all. We moved into our house about 8 or 9 years ago and have never had a fire in the fireplace. Saras parents got a bigger insert for the house and gave us the old one. I tried to get out of it but i lost and now it's going in. Has anyone ever tried to install there own.  Looking for some pointers.

I'm looking for a good machine shop in the owasso area. If anyone knows of one or can recommend someone they use. I need to get the heads done on my grand Cherokee 4.7. The place I all ways used before got replaced by an AutoZone. Thank you

I have driven stuff on the street with a locker in the rear. It's not much different than open. As long as it's not a spool you will hardly notice it.

Pb blaster helps a cheap of pry bars and bigger flat head screwdriver to hit and pry with. Then when you install the new ones use neverseize on it so it comes apart better in the future.

No worries there easy. The hardest part is if the old hub assembly is rusted into the knuckle. Then it's kind of a fight but other than that it's a easy job.

One thing I forgot to mention As an alternative to por-15. A company called magnet paints makes chassis saver. I have read that it's the same as por-15 chemistry wise. I have used it and it works good and it's about half the price

Thank you Ken, my buddy works for consumers so he came over and helped me hook my meeter. Box back up good enough for consumers to hook my power back up. I called my insurance and have gotten a few estemiates for them. I was a bad thing but could have been a lot worse the line landed down landed down my driveway and way drug down the road. He didn't stop. I was only without power for 6 hours.  Just glad the linemen that came out we nice and let us patch my box and mast back up so they would hook it up.

This is kinda funny to me know so I thought I would share. Saturday after I got home from Bundy hill I just wanted to sit and watch a movie with cash and Sara. We made popcorn and just as I sat down I heard wood ripping and a really loud boom. So I ran to my front door to watch a semi truck driving down my road with my power line hooked to it. It bent my mast, ripped a hole in my roof and pull my meeter box and conduit off. All I wanted to do was watch a movie. So I think it's funny how fast life can change.

I did my frame with it a few years ago and it has held up great. I did three coats of por15 and three coats of Rust-Oleum.
