Title: wheelin' in mid-Michigan?
Post by: jwoodruff on July 26, 2008, 11:55:00 AM
Hey guys - my names Jesse and I'm looking to join the sport. I'm fairly new to the mid-Michigan area and I'm considering buying a 1980 V8 CJ-7 with lockers, 33s and a dual stick transfer case. Unfortunately, my other vehicle is not a truck so there's no way I'll be able to trailer it to the UP, etc., at least not immediately. Are there enough wheelin' opportunities in mid-Michigan (I live in Lansing) to have some fun on without having to make an overnight trip?

-Jw

the mounds orv park, silver lake, the manistee national forest, and st.helens are all within acouple hours of you. ive always driven my rigs to wheeling spots. a locked cj with 33's and a twin stick will be perfect for those spots
