Trail Rides / Jeep Blessing
April 24, 2018, 07:55:52 PM
Many of our Club Members will be up in Mesick on Saturday May 5th for the Cadillac Jeepers Jeep Blessing event.  Always a ton of fun and a great obstacle course to conquer in your Jeep!  Look for the orange WLB t-Shirts and come say "Hi!"

Welcome to our little corner of the internet!  You can see what we've been up to on our FB page as well...

https://www.facebook.com/WhatLiesBeyondJeepClub/

If you are used to wheeling out in the Red Rocks of the Southwest, you may be a little underwhelmed with Michigan off-roading... though sand and slippery mud make for a very different experience than that nice grippy dry rock out there!

Our next meeting is on May 6th at Elwwood's in Burton.  Come check us out! Social Hour at 5:00, meeting at 6:00.

Ironman Offroad up in Saginaw is a great shop - worth the drive and the will usually give you a free loaner car...

So as an addendum to our Food Bank Story I would like you all to know that a week or so ago we were informed by the EMFB that we were nominated for a "Hunger Heroes Award" and inviting a representative to attend a luncheon at the food bank.  I attended today on behalf of the club.  They gave out these awards to organizations and individuals that have had an impact on their mission and they divided into categories for Large Corporate donors all the way down to Small Groups such as ours that sponsor donation drives at their clubs, churches, etc.  We were nominated in the Small Group/Organization Category where they let us know that over 250 organizations partner with the foodbank doing local events such as ours.  From that large group there were 5 nominees.

I am so proud to share with you all that for your efforts, What Lies Beyond Jeep Club was chosen as the 2018 Small Group/Organization Hunger Hero!  Congratulations to all of you that have supported the event over the years.  I was able to speak briefly and more or less said we are out at the mounds every thanksgiving and go for the sympathy donations since we are standing out in the cold/rains/snow.  Got a nice chuckle.

Anyway, congratulations again everyone I am looking forward to shivering with you all again this thanksgiving!

Vehicles For Sale/Trade / Scott Gordon's Jeep
March 14, 2018, 05:24:38 PM
I was sad to hear today that our former member Scott Gordon has made the decision to sell his Jeep.  Having said that, he has a really nice 06 LJ that lived most of its life in Florida and he is going to let it go for $11,500 FIRM.

160,00K
Straight 6, Auto
Rockman skids including the tummy tuck
slip yoke eliminator
Tom Woods Drive shaft, etc. etc.

Scott Kept that Jeep Really nice and it has only seen a couple michigan winters.  let me know if anyone is interested and I will get you in touch with him...
