Just to make sure ... D35 & D30 out of a 91 are the same as out of a 95 right ? Both YJ's  both D35/D30

axles are the same but the gearing may be different depending on the motor.

U-joints will be different sizes, but the shafts are interchangeable.  The older ones have the smaller 260-type joint, late 94-95 have the stronger 760/297-sized joint.  You can't mix and match inners and outers, but the 95 shafts fit in the 91 housing and vice-versa.

the only thing that might pose a issue is that the 91's front has a vacuum  disconnect has this the newer front shouldn't

If ya want an axle, go find an old Honda Passport or Isuzu Rodeo SUV.  The rear axles are Dana 44's with disc brakes and will mount right up to a Wrangler with min. modding.  Thats according to JP mag.

All YJ D30 axles have the CAD - didn't get fixed until the 1997 TJ

Well heres the thing , buddy is getting a set of axles from a 95 that was just a bit on fire  :o  :o  :o  he wanted to make sure that they would be a straight swap out.  He was worried about compatibility and I could remember for sure . Thanks for having my back  ::gay::

:-) Part of the deal was they are swapping them back into the donor Jeep so he has a rolling chassis
