Is there a game plan set on how we are going to attack this project? Also since we have groups of people drive up together, what are the food plans, breakfast, lunch , dinner. Bring your own cooler or one master cooler?

I still plan on going, but will need to split the gas cost with someone. Will cost way to much to drive all the way up there and back in the XJ and I know Neils Yukon gets worse gas then my XJ..lol  I think we should all pool in, in my opinon, for gas for the trip of have the club cover the gas.

Quote from: "phittie1100"That's not a terrible price Steve - mine was $279 delivered for Dana 30.

It's not a bad price considering that the only other locker made for the 8.25 29 spline is about $400+. And if you are plan on running stock gears this would be a wise by. On the other hand if you plan on changing your gears, you now have the cost of the new gears, the cost of installing the new gears, and the cost of the locker. Now you have close to $800 invested into the axle. A friend of mine just picked up an 8.8 LSD with 4:10 gears from Parts Galore for $200.

Sorry for all the excitment, but Hell just froze over this morning. After 5 years of excuses from Aussie, the finally have a locker for the 8.25 29 spline. The locker is in testing right now and they have it listed on there site. Bad thing is that it cost $300, which is a bit of a dissappointment compared to the cost of their other lockers. It is still cheaper to pick up an Ford 8.8 with a limited slip and any gear ratio you want for around $200 to $300.

For those who like to do customizing, the stove can be used as on oven to bake small parts for powder coating. In fact the stove should be big enough to powder coat one rim at a time.

Quote from: "longarm"I'm gonna see about getting the day off from work.  If I can I'll be driving the Focus for the good gas milage.

Was pondering about taking my Tempo. 15 year old car, has 170,000 miles and still gets 33 mpg. You would think todays cars, 15 years later, could do a lot better then they are now on gas milage

I should be able to make it. If you don't want to drive the distance in your Wrangler Yager, you are more then welcome to ride in a nice comfortable XJ....lol. I have plenty of room. I used to drive a YJ and no the feeling of long trips on your back in one of those...lol.

Wanted / Re: Gas Cap
July 02, 2008, 10:00:43 PM
Good time to invest into a lockable gas cap

Also my cap is attached to the neck of my tank so I can't loose it. Not sure if TJ's come this way or not, but you could hit the junk yard to find the plastic link to attach your cap to your neck so you will not loose it.

Wanted / Portable Air Compressor
June 25, 2008, 07:00:01 PM
Does anyone have a portable air compressor that I could borrow for a day. My pos compressor is about 25 years old and only goes up to 70 psi. I have a couple really stubbron bolts I need to get out and mine will not do the job.

Thanks
