Quote from: "Nosilla"Possible things. Tie rods, ball joints, front axle u joints, Wheel hub, or maybe a loose tire (lug nuts).  All these can be checked out with the help of a friend at no cost.

Thanks.  I've posted on a couple other sites a well just to get some input.  I need to find someone local who knows about everything you posted, minus loose lug nuts  :D

I am getting a vibration while turning at low speeds in the steering wheel. It just started doing this.

It happens when I make a turn in either direction.

My jeep is a 98 TJ sport (4.0L) - I believe there is a 2.5" suspension lift and I am running 31x10.50x15 tires on some MT sidebiter 15x8 wheels.

I purchased the Jeep in October with the suspension work already done and put the wheel/tire combo on shortly after.

I have put probably 10-12,000 miles on the Jeep since I have had it. Like I mentioned before, I just noticed this vibration this past weekend. When turning at lower speeds if I remove my hands, you can visually see the steering wheel wobble a little.

Any ideas? Anyone need any more information to help me out?

Any help would be appreciated. I am in the downriver area in MI. Thanks!

Yep...  Lincoln Park - rail splitters.  I dont get it, but that's what they are.  Moved to LP since it was the only spot where I knew someone in the Metro Area.  I moved there for my job.  The area I live in is really nice.

Saginaw - yes!  I'll pass on your sweet sounding vacation home.  My wife and I usually stay with my parents when we head up there.

Little north of Detroit huh?  Richmond is way out there!

I'll try to make it to one of your meetings soon.  It might be hard until maybe March or April though.  Second baby is on it's way and due in February.

Tech Talk / Re: tj windshield and frame and hinges
November 29, 2010, 02:39:59 PM
If you are still looking - I have my stock hinges.  They are not rusted bad - very salvageable, especially if you are going to paint them to match.  They were just starting to bubble on the top when I replaced mine with stainless hinges.

Send me a PM if you are interested.  I can send you some pictures if you want.

Wanted / stock TJ softtop header
November 29, 2010, 01:54:54 PM
I'm looking for the header piece to a soft top.  I'm not sure of the exact name, but it's the part that the top screws into, that clips to the windshield.

I somehow managed to destroy mine.  (Long story)

Introductions / New guy here...
November 29, 2010, 01:50:59 PM
Hi all,

My name is Adam and I drive a Jeep  ::woot::

I was told about this site by some guy named Cody.  I guess he is the President around here  ;)

If this place is anything like he mentioned, I'm glad I joined the forum.  Anyone who will stand in the freezing cold and help me install a hardtop seems like a good guy.

Anyways, I live in Lincoln Park, MI (south of Detroit).  I'm originally from Saginaw, MI.  I'm up in the Saginaw area a lot.  I currently own a very much rust free 98 TJ wrangler sport.

Anyways, maybe I can meet some new Jeepers.
